Famous for its vast, secluded beaches, Eleuthera is becoming a destination of choice for vacationers who treasure peace and quiet. The kind of travelers who prefer to keep their distance from discos, shopping malls, fern-bars, lounge-lizards, jet-skis and anything else that is loud, glitzy or annoying.

Although you might bump into Mick Jagger, or Lenny Kravitz, or Patti LaBelle, or one of the lesser cousins of the royal family (Charles and Di honeymooned here), the pace on Eleuthera is slow.
